Description

Here is my final illustration for my animal anatomy class this summer. It goes along with my Lopari design shown here: [link] . With this, I created a character along with my design. This illustration shows how this species is trying to survive. This Lopari is a worn down, scruffy, old one with scares showing his fights and battles with the Wiric creatures. He is also very strong though since rarely do these creatures survive to be this old these days.
He is chasing an elephant shrew like animal to show that even though the Lopari needs a lot of food to survive, due to the Wiric, it usually can only find small creatures to hunt. Because of this, Loparis are constantly hunting around for new food.
The environment that the Lopari live in is shown here too. It's sort-of like an Australian/ African savanna, desert like forest. The trees here have large trunks to save water in them since it's a very dry and hot climate with very little rain. When the wet season comes these trees absorb as much water as they can and it usually lasts them through the dry season.

I hope you enjoy :). Critique is much appreciated. I really want to improve on this technique because it's fast and really fun to do, so yeah. The more help the better.

Wath would i said.
In my opinion i a very impresive Job.
Lets start with the color selection, for those who have the opportunitty to see the Lopary desing, the colors are more thanthan addecuatte
The shadows are a plus that enhance the movement sensation.
Other point who call my attention is the position of the legs in both animals, if you see them whith attention, is like a picture of a Discovery or Nat Geo
The landscape is also give the picture a deep sensation, as a thoug there are woods in this planet.

I hope to see more of this allien world you created. Great Job!!!
